 My Background:
Based in the San Francisco bay area, I worked my way up in the salon industry going from Stylist to Technical Director, to Manager to Salon Owner in just a few short years. Specializing in haircolor and finishing, I now own and operate a flourishing 10-station salon. I have educated in all levels of product knowledge for many top manufacturers for nearly 20 years.
My Passion:
My passion is to create and share knowledge with others. I love mentoring and motivating others to their full potential and leading a team to a common goal. I also LOVE being a colourist and doing finishing work.
My Greatest Accomplishments:
Being able to open my salon at the age of 25, which is a goal I set while in Beauty College. I feel that the education and stage work that I have done are also important accomplishments. I’ve worked with major product manufacturers and helped to develop educational programs and shows. In addition to in salon education, I have participated in salon showcases and have traveled the United States to share my knowledge. I have also worked closely with salons to help them formulate career directions and educational goals for their staff.
My Strengths / Strong Suit:
Color and styling, specifically formal and bridal styling. I’m confident that I can create many various styling designs dependant upon what is needed at the time. My communication skills are also strong, which allow me to interact with my clients as well as a group of individuals of any size. I love to educate others and these communication skills allow me to do so.
What I want to best be known for:
For my caring personality to each individual I came into contact with. I want to leave behind all the laughter and joy I have received from my industry. Laughter is the best medicine and I love to interact with it whenever I am dealing with a client or in a classroom. I want others to remember that I put their interests first and gave them all I could.
My Personal Side:
I love to spend time with my husband and teenage sons (17 & 15) and have been very active in PTSA fundraising for their schools. I also enjoy doing scrap booking & am an active reader. In addition to traveling ( I love exploring Europe ) when possible, I take pleasure in going hiking, walking with our two dogs and riding on my Harley.
